In a move to bolster the protection of intellectual property rights in the information technology sector, the Office of the Registrar of Copyrights has appointed Chiranjibi Adhikari, the General Secretary of the CAN Federation and a distinguished cybersecurity expert, as an expert in their team.

The office, which operates under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has entrusted Mr. Adhikari with the task of studying and verifying documents submitted for software system registrations under composition registration.

As an expert officer, Mr. Adhikari will play a crucial role in facilitating the study and verification of documents submitted by individuals and organizations seeking to safeguard their copyrights in various information technology-based goods and services, including software source code, innovative ideas, and digital products.
