Dakshinkali Innovation Center Established
This initiative aims to empower local youth by providing specialized training in cloud computing and emerging technologies.
Empowering Local Youth for the Digital Era
During the inauguration ceremony held last Friday, Mohan Basnet, Mayor of Dakshinkali Municipality, emphasized that we are living in an era defined by information and technology.
He stated that the innovation center was established to equip local youth with high-demand IT skills, making them “job-ready” for the global market.
Mayor Basnet also lauded Genese Solution for its technical support and partnership.
“Such training programs do not just create a future-ready workforce; they directly contribute to the process of nation-building,” Mayor Basnet remarked.
Bridging the Gap: From Training to Employment
Under this partnership, Genese Solution and the Dakshinkali Innovation Center are set to provide cloud and technology training to 50 local youths in the initial phase. The center’s strategy focuses on:
Industry-aligned Training: Curricula designed to meet current market demands.
Internship Opportunities: Hands-on experience within the IT sector.
Job Placement Support: Assisting trainees in transitioning from learners to professionals.
Distinguished Presence
The event saw the participation of Deputy Mayor Shibamaya Dangol and key leadership from Genese Solution, including Executive Director and former Nepal Police AIGP Bhim Prasad Dhakal, Vice President (Pre-Sales) Amit Joshi, and Head of Training Deepak Raj Silwal.
A Proven Track Record in Digital Literacy
Genese Solution has been actively working to decentralize IT skills across Nepal. The company has successfully implemented similar training and employment programs in:
-
Arun Rural Municipality (Bhojpur)
-
Kageshwari Manohara Municipality (Kathmandu)
-
Birendranagar and Bheriganga Municipalities (Surkhet)
These initiatives have consistently contributed to local job creation and the development of a robust digital ecosystem at the grassroots level. By fostering a sustainable career ecosystem, this latest collaboration aims to turn Dakshinkali into a hub for Nepalese IT talent.
