Deepak Raj Joshi Reappointed as CEO Of The Nepal Tourism Board

Deepak Raj Joshi has been reappointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The Board of Directors decided during a meeting held on Thursday, marking Joshi’s second term as CEO.

He had previously served in the same role and brings with him extensive experience in the tourism sector.

Before this appointment, Joshi was serving as the Director General of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI). With a long history in the tourism industry, his return to the NTB is expected to strengthen Nepal’s tourism promotion and development efforts, especially after a period of uncertainty in leadership.

The selection process was narrowed down to three candidates, including Dr. Dhananjay Regmi and Gyaneshwar Mahato. However, Joshi emerged as the final choice for the role. The NTB had been without a leader since the completion of Dr. Regmi’s term, which had caused delays in budget planning and decision-making.

Joshi will serve as the CEO for a four-year term and is expected to focus on revitalizing the tourism sector, which is a critical pillar of Nepal’s economy.
