The Deerwalk Institute of Technology (DWIT) proudly hosted the pre-event session for DEERCUP 2024, Nepal’s largest inter-college futsal tournament.

This year’s event, scheduled from August 11 to August 17, 2024, features a World Cup Edition format with 27 participating colleges, promising a week filled with intense competition and vibrant community spirit.
The pre-event session, held on August 10, 2024, served as a successful introduction to DEERCUP 2024 for participants, sponsors, and the media. The session kicked off with engaging ice-breaking activities conducted by the DWIT Literature Club, setting a lively tone for the upcoming tournament. One of the session’s highlights was the dramatic reveal of the DEERCUP 2024 trophy, which captivated the audience and heightened anticipation for the competition.
The pre-event session also featured the much-anticipated tie sheet draw, where the matchups for the tournament were announced. Group A consists of the Public Youth Campus, Insight Vision, and IIMS College. Group B includes Pashupati Multiple Campus-B, KIST College, Prime College, and Texas College. Group C features People’s College, Shanker Dev, Campion College, and ACHS. Group D includes Orchid College, DAV College, Chanakya College, and Thames College. Group E consists of New Summit College, Kings College, and Pashupati Multiple Campus-A. Group F features Deerwalk College, Bright Vision, the College of Applied Business, and Himalayan Whitehouse College. Finally, Group G includes ISMT College, Danfe College, NATHM College, and British College.
DEERCUP 2024 is more than just a futsal tournament; it is a platform for youth empowerment, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering a strong sense of community. The event aims to encourage camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the celebration of talent among Nepal’s college students.
