DeerHack 2023: Nepal’s newest hackathon event to spark innovation and creativity!
Deerwalk Institute of Technology is excited to announce the commencement of its first-ever inaugural hackathon, DeerHack 2023: Fawning Over Innovation. Scheduled to take place from May 5 to May 7, 2023, at Deerwalk Complex, Sifal, Kathmandu. The hackathon is an inclusive event that aims to unite programmers, designers, and tech enthusiasts from across the region to collaborate and develop innovative concepts. With these innovative concepts, this event hopes to assist participants in finding solutions to real-world problems.
DeerHack 2023 is planned to be a 48-hour event that will provide participants the chance to work on their ideas on several predetermined themes. In addition to giving participants a chance to show off their talents, this event hopes to serve as a networking venue for like-minded people who are passionate about related fields and want to make a significant contribution to society.
“I see this hackathon as more than just a competition, but as a community-driven event that fosters creativity, collaboration, and growth. Our hope is that every participant leaves with not only a project but also a new perspective and connections that will last beyond the event,” said the Event Co-Lead of DeerHack 2023, Bipashree Aryal.
Participants will have access to a wide range of resources the organizing committee provides, including a panel of highly experienced mentors, workshops, networking opportunities, and technical support to help them develop and present their ideas to the best of their abilities. The hackathon will come to a close with a final pitch competition, where the participating teams will have the chance to present their apps to a panel of renowned judges and compete for the top prizes.
Even before the event has officially begun, this year’s DeerHack has already achieved great heights. Worldlink, the biggest ISP in the country, is DeerHack 2023’s title sponsor, and Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) is the event’s platinum sponsor.
DeerHack also collaborates with important companies that are committed to advancing Nepal’s tech industry and fostering innovation.
