Digital Karnali Conclave

Digital Karnali Conclave 2024 will be organized on the 18th and 19th of Falgun. More than 40 national and international experts will participate in the two-day conclave organized jointly by the Karnali Province Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

More than 50 experts and stakeholders will be present in the program, focusing on the theme of digitization and development of Karnali province. The program to be held at Siddharth Resort located in Surkhet, Birendranagar will be attended by representatives of the federal government and state and local governments. The relevant ministers and secretaries from the other 6 provinces will also be invited to the conclave.

There are 4 important keynote presentations and 6 panel sessions in the conclave. Likewise, the ICT Foundation has informed that the power dialogue session of notable figures in the leadership position is also included. In the conclave, the program will begin with the digital condition, efforts, and capabilities of Karnali province, and the program will be concluded with the commitment and takeaway of digital transformation.

The organizers have informed that the conclave will be fruitful in connecting Karnali province with development through technology and leading it on the path of digital transformation. Karnali Province Home Affairs and Law Minister Krishna Bahadur G.C. said that the 2-day conclave will also help create a digital roadmap for the province. The conclave will also emphasize expanding and promoting local production, agriculture, education, and tourism through technology in collaboration with national and local stakeholders.

Efforts have been made to connect organizations working in digital services, startups, and new initiations in Karnali province to the conclave. New ideas and ongoing initiatives for Digital Karnali can be submitted through the website www.digitalkarnali.org.

ICT Foundation is an organization working in the campaign of digitization and digital transformation. For the last 3 years, the organization has been conducting a digital province dialogue program in all seven provinces. This year Karnali conclave is being organized as a special program.

The Foundation, which has been organizing the Digital Nepal Conclave for the past 2 years, has started the Provincial Conclave in collaboration with the provincial governments. The foundation has prepared to hold this year’s Digital Nepal Conclave in the last week of Baisakh.

It is believed that this conclave will prove important to determine the priorities of digital Karnali through the second plan and annual development program of the Karnali state government. The ministry has made a heartfelt appeal to all stakeholders of Karnali to make this conclave a success.
