Trump’s administration has decided to ban transactions for certain Chinese applications.

According to CNN Business, President Donald Trump signed an executive order restricting transactions with eight Chinese apps on Tuesday. These include Alipay, QQ Wallet, WeChat Pay, Tencent QQ Camscanner, Shareit, Vimet, and VPS Office Applications.

The Trump administration said in a statement that apps and other software created by China may pose a threat to US national security, the economy, and foreign policy. That’s why Trump is getting ready to ban Chinese applications.

Even before Widen came to power, the Trump administration was placing pressure on Chinese firms.

It’s not known at this time what he’s going to do after leaving the post. But 45 days after Trump left office, CNN Business says it may be effective.

The Trump administration is also trying to sustain a sour relationship between the US and China. The ban on Chinese apps would be a significant stumbling block between the two countries, although it remains to be seen if it will eventually be enforced,” said Scott Kennedy, Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. If the order is enforced, it will create problems for US companies operating in China.
