The Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), successfully conducted a series of workshops titled “Knowing Your Digital Payment Services for Digital Empowerment” across Gandaki, Lumbini, and Madhesh provinces.

These workshops aimed to bolster digital financial literacy and highlight the importance of financial inclusion in Nepal’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Empowering Digital Financial Services in Nepal: Successful Workshops Across Provinces

Held on August 11, 2024, in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and on August 12, 2024, in Madhesh province, the events were led by industry experts Ashim Nepal, Sanjib Subba, and Suvekshya Bhandari Subedi. Over 140 banking officials participated, gaining valuable insights into digital financial services (DFS), cybersecurity, and innovative technologies such as AI, Digital Lending, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services.

Key Highlights:

Participants left the workshops equipped with the knowledge and tools to enhance digital services within their organizations and contribute to the broader goal of financial inclusion in Nepal.
