The Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, successfully hosted the sixth and final session of its eagerly anticipated Entrepreneurship Talk Series, titled “The Subtle Art of Pitching,” on February 9th at Embark College, Lalitpur.

This session provided a unique platform for the aspiring top 25 semi-finalist teams to learn how to craft and deliver impactful pitches that engage stakeholders and communicate ideas effectively.
The event featured an inspiring guest speaker, Mr. Abhisekh Maskey, a marketer, presenter, and educator. His work is centered on simplification, and he is well-known for his effective communication skills and ability to connect with others.
With over 14 years of experience in marketing and brand management, he has worked with notable brands such as Coca-Cola Nepal, King’s College, and Edushala. Recently, he published “Why PPT Sucks – The Deck,” a set of 52 learning cards aimed at helping individuals create impactful presentations. Currently, he oversees marketing, communication, and branding at F1Soft.
The session was hosted by two remarkable individuals: Miss Prashansa Shrestha, the Marketing and Branding Head, and Miss Anupa Ranabhat, the Social Media Manager, both from Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus. Miss Prashansa Shrestha welcomed participants and set the tone for an engaging learning experience.
The program commenced at 1:00 PM. The host first expressed gratitude to all the sponsors without whom the event would not have been possible. Miss Riyaj Nepal, the Campus Director of Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, then presented a Khada to the guest speaker, followed by a brief introduction of Mr. Abhisekh Maskey’s extensive professional background. Afterward, Mr. Maskey took the stage for his insightful session.
During his presentation, Mr. Maskey introduced the participants to the art of simplifying ideas and structuring their messages for maximum impact. He provided real-world examples of successful pitches, helping attendees understand how to align their stories with the interests of different audiences. His interactive approach encouraged participants to refine their pitching techniques through live practice and constructive feedback.
He engaged with attendees, asking them to attempt their pitches and identify the key factors in an effective pitch. He elaborated on the concept of an elevator pitch, emphasizing the importance of being subtle, clear, and to the point. He also shared strategies on how to convey ideas effectively to judges and create a lasting impression. He discussed all the topics, including what to include in pitching presentations and how to keep them tactful and insightful.
After the insightful session, he was thanked by the second host of the day, Miss Ranabhat, and Mr. Maskey was presented with a handcrafted wooden token from our gifting partner, CNC Kasthakala Nepal, alongside a plant from our in-kind sponsor, The Plant Room Nepal, and delicious refreshments from our food sponsor, Kantipur Coffee by our esteemed Campus Director.
As the session came to a close, the participants were energized and eager to apply their newly acquired skills in the upcoming semi-final round. This session served as a fitting conclusion to the Entrepreneurship Talk Series, reinforcing the Hult Prize’s mission to empower aspiring changemakers with the tools they need to transform their ideas into impactful solutions.
The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the semi-finalist teams were truly inspiring, as they now prepare to take the next steps in their journey. With their refined pitching skills and the insights gained from this session, these young innovators are one step closer to turning their ideas into reality.
