Cooperation between E-Sewa and Viber, now money can be transfer and recharged from Viber. Now it is possible to send money and recharge mobile through Viber. Payment service provider E-Sewa and popular messaging app Rakuten Viber have started a collaboration to provide financial services through Viber in Nepal. This is the first such partnership in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, Viber users will be able to easily link their E-Sewa account with Viber to recharge talk time and send other money. This feature will be available for all Viber users in Nepal.
Roshan Lamichhane, COO of E-Sewa, said that the new facility has been launched in collaboration with Viber, the world’s leading messaging app. He said, “We are confident that this kind of collaboration will give users a new experience and play a big role in advancing Nepal’s digital business.
Anna Znamenskaya, Viber’s chief growth officer, said user-friendliness and usefulness have always been a priority for consumers. “Through our partnership with E-sewa, we are working to make Viber a payment platform, not just for a single message,” she said. We are hopeful that this chat extension on E-Sewa will be of great benefit to our Nepali users.
When making financial transactions through Viber, users will get a minimum of 10 percent and a maximum of 100 rupees cashback on each transaction. Similarly, 5 percent cashback can be obtained by transferring Rs 50. Apart from this, there is also a chance to win attractive gifts and vouchers on a weekly basis. One lucky user will get a laptop as a bumper gift.
Earlier in Nepal, the messaging app was used only for sending and receiving messages and keeping in touch with relatives or loved ones. But now the facility to recharge and do financial transactions has been brought as per the desire of the user to get the additional facility.
Both Viber and E-Sewa have set security measures to protect users, secure transactions, and prevent unauthorized transactions.
