FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal emphasized that despite recent improvements in the economy, significant policy reforms and stability are essential for continued growth.

He stated that the High-Level Economic Reform Commission, which is set to be established for these reforms, should play a crucial role, and FNCCI is committed to supporting this effort.

Dhakal also mentioned that the formation of the commission, as requested by FNCCI, is a positive step forward. Furthermore, he urged Chief Secretary Aryal to recognize the importance of the private sector’s protocol and to take it positively.

He stressed the need for enhanced use of technology to improve governance, particularly in areas where services are provided to the general public and businesses.

Additionally, President Dhakal expressed concerns about certain laws targeting the private sector, which could potentially discourage investment. He urged the Chief Secretary to take steps to amend such provisions.

Chief Secretary Aryal acknowledged the importance of the private sector and expressed his commitment to working towards creating a more investment-friendly environment.

FNCCI Senior Vice President Anjan Shrestha highlighted the need for policy stability and consistency, emphasizing that frequent policy changes should be avoided. Vice President Hemraj Dhakal urged the government to take measures to curb unauthorized imports and to formulate laws regarding debt collection.
