President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has expressed his commitment to collaborate on potential programs aimed at promoting oranges, coffee, and tourism in Syangja.
Speaking at a program organized by the Syangja District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President Dhakal shared that a company with an investment of NPR 10 billion has already been established and started operations. He highlighted the importance of domestic investment, stating that it sends a positive message for the country’s economic development.
He remarked, “Business partners in different districts are seeking investment opportunities. If we unify these efforts, there will be no shortage of capital.”
Dhakal also pointed out that there is currently sufficient deposit in banks and interest rates have significantly decreased, making it an opportune time to invest in Nepal. He stressed the need to convey this message, encouraging local investments within the country.
He further elaborated on the ongoing investment promotion campaign over the past one and a half years, both domestically and internationally. Dhakal also informed that, through their efforts, the government has amended eight laws to create a more investment-friendly environment.
Additionally, Dhakal assured that the private sector remains focused on resolving key issues, including concerns over ranking protocols and tax-related matters, for the betterment of the business ecosystem.
