Footwear Manufacturers Association Contributes Over 5 Million Rupees in Relief and Footwear Supplies

The Footwear Manufacturers Association of Nepal has provided over 5 million rupees worth of financial and material assistance to aid citizens affected by the Bhote Koshi flood in Rasuwa.

Member Support Collection: Following an internal appeal to its members, the association collected over 5 million rupees in combined cash and in-kind contributions.
Immediate Footwear Supply: The association prioritized providing shoes and slippers to flood-impacted residents, delivering collected inventory directly to government authorities for distribution.
Material Handover: General Secretary Nirmal Bhattarai confirmed that 15,000 pairs of shoes and slippers have already been handed over to designated government agencies.
Future Commitment and Disaster Response
Targeted Distribution Plan: The association announced readiness to dispatch additional footwear supplies as government authorities provide specific headcount and location requirements across affected regions.
Continued Assistance: The leadership pledged ongoing support and resource mobilization to assist with long-term relief and community rehabilitation efforts during the disaster period.
