Former President of CAN Federation Gave 5 Lakhs to Online Journalists Association Nepal

Engineer Binod Dhakal, former president of CAN Federation, has donated Rs. 500,000 to the Online Journalists Association for the Journalism Award. He handed over the Rs. 500,000 to Chairman Shiva Prasad Satyal on the occasion of the 11th Annual General Meeting of the Association held today.

With the interest amount of the revolving fund, the association will give a prize of Rs. 50,000 every two years to one of the members of the association affiliated to the online journalists’ association. The first prize this year has been given to KP Dhungana, a member and founding president of the Online Journalists Association.

Meanwhile, the general assembly of the association has also selected a new working committee. A new seven-member working committee led by Chairman Dilli Prasad Sapkota has been elected unopposed.
