Garima Road Race 2082: Registration Open For 10K & 5K Runs With NPR 50K Prize Money

To celebrate its 19th anniversary, Garima Bikas Bank Limited is all set to organize the second edition of the Garima Road Race, 2082, on Saturday, Mangsir 6, 2082 B.S. (approx. December 6, 2025).

Held under the slogan “Sports for Health,” the event aims to promote fitness and community engagement.
Following the success of the inaugural race last year, the competition has been expanded to include a new category, anticipating around 1,000 participants this year.
1. Race Categories and Distances
The Garima Road Race, 2082, will feature races for both male and female competitors across three main categories:

The addition of the Veteran category this year demonstrates the Bank’s commitment to inclusive participation, covering experienced runners aged 45 and above (for women) and 50 and above (for men).
2. Attractive Cash Prizes (Up to NPR 50,000)
The event features substantial cash prizes to encourage top-level competition:

3. Race Route Details in Kathmandu
The race will begin from the premises of the Development Bank’s proposed central office building in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

Open (10 KM) Route: Starts at Baluwatar, proceeds to the ward office of Budhanilkantha Municipality Ward No. 3, and returns to conclude at Baluwatar.
Corporate & Veteran (5 KM) Route: Starts at Baluwatar, proceeds to Neuro Hospital in Bansbari, and returns via the same route to conclude at Baluwatar.
4. Easy Registration via Khalti App
To ensure a smooth registration process, Garima Bikas Bank has partnered with Khalti App.
Registration Period: From Kartik 28 to Mangsir 4, 2082 B.S. (approx. November 14 to November 20, 2025).
Registration Fee: A nominal fee of NPR 20.

The success of the 2081 race, which saw 650 participants including Olympic runner Santoshi Shrestha, gives the Development Bank confidence that this year’s event will see even greater turnout.
