IIDS, in partnership with AgileMove, successfully hosted the GenAI Hackathon Finale 2024—Nepal’s first-ever event of its kind.
GenAI Hackathon Finale 2024
This groundbreaking initiative aimed to harness the power of Generative AI to address challenges specific to Nepal. Over three months, eight teams of innovative minds collaborated closely with five expert mentors, leading up to an exciting Hack Day.
The event highlighted the projects presented by each team, receiving valuable feedback from our esteemed panel of judges – Kumar Lamsal, Dibya Dali, Sanjib Subba, Shailendra Raj Giri, and Uttam Pudasaini. IIDS would like to extend special thanks to Mr. Sushil Bhattachan@bhattachas , CEO of AgileMove, for his leadership in bringing this initiative to fruition.

Winner: Project: AI-based Digital Inventory for Landslides by Pooja Lamichhane, Nitesh Sharma, Yogesh Regmi, and Hem Kiran Poudel
First Runner-Up: Project: Design and Optimize Custom Automotive Parts by Jay Raj Mishra and Siddhartha Sitaula
Second Runner-Up: Project: AI Tool for Breaking Language Barriers by Dharmendra Lekhak, Sneha Ghimire, Arju Pokharel, Aaryan Rijal, and Saurav Thakur
