The Kathmandu District Court has exonerated Genese Solution, a UK-based value IT and Cybersecurity consulting company, in an electronic transactions case.

The case, filed more than two years ago by the Sundar Group of Companies, alleged violations of Nepal’s Electronic Transactions Act 2008. However, on October 22, 2024, Judge Khimanand Bhusal ruled that there was insufficient evidence to implicate the company.

Anjani Phuyal, Founder and CEO of Genese Solution, welcomed the court’s decision, stating, “This ruling reaffirms our commitment to integrity and excellence. The case was filed with malicious intent, and we are pleased that justice has been served. We remain steadfast in protecting customer data and delivering high-quality IT solutions globally.”

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Genese Solution operates in 10 countries, including Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Finland, Australia, Nigeria, Spain, Ireland, and the USA. The company is among the few IT consulting firms certified to the rigorous international standard ISO 27001:2022 for information security management. Genese empowers organizations of all sizes and industries with cost-effective digital transformation solutions to enhance operational excellence.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company demonstrated its adaptability and commitment by partnering with Zoom, enabling Nepali businesses and educational institutions to continue operations seamlessly during a challenging time.

Genese Solution actively supports gender inclusivity through initiatives like Shequal Foundation and Girls-in-Tech, which aim to empower women in technology. In collaboration with AWS Academy, Microsoft Academy, and other global technology leaders, Genese has also been instrumental in supporting universities across Nepal to cultivate a skilled workforce for the global tech industry.

“We believe that diversity and inclusion drive innovation,” said Phuyal. “Our programs reflect our commitment to fostering talent and ensuring that opportunities in the tech industry are accessible to all.”

Genese Solution has been working closely with Nepali embassies worldwide to promote Nepal as an emerging technology hub. Through participation in global tech events, the company emphasizes Nepal’s potential as a provider of world-class ICT-enabled services in the competitive global market.

Genese Solution remains committed to helping organizations worldwide optimize their IT operations, reduce costs, and innovate through technology. With a strong focus on effective IT risk management and customer data protection, the company continues to lead the way in global digital transformation.

“Our goal is to empower businesses with cutting-edge solutions while upholding the highest standards of integrity and security,” Phuyal concluded. “We are here to make a difference, globally and locally.”
