Mac-book Pro 13″The new Mac-book Pro 13″ model is made up of full Aluminium uni-body design. The 13″ model has the dimensions of 314 x 219 x 18mm and weighs 1.58 kg approximately 3.48 pounds. The screen is 13.3 inches IPS screen with glass front with 227 pixels per inch along with 60% Adobe RGB and 1000:1 contrast ratio.
It comes up with the Mac OS X El Captain operating system which is very easy to use. The display is LED back-lit display with IPS technology that supports millions of colors. It comes up with the native resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels with retina display while the scaled resolutions are 1680 x 1050, 1440 x 900 and 1024 x 640 pixels. It consists of a 128/ 256/ 512 GB PCIle based flash storage which is configurable to 1TB flash storage.
The processor is made of 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz with 3 MB shared L3 cache that can be configured up to 2.9 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 3.3 GHz with 3MB shared L3 cache memory or up to 3.1 GHz dual-core Intel core i& turbo boost up to 3.4 GHz with 4MB shared L3 cache memory.
It consists of 8GB 1866 MHz LPDDR3 RAM which can be configured up to 16 Gb. The battery is built-in 54Whr Li-polymer battery that comes up with a 45W Mag Safe Power Adapter with Cable management and a Mag Safe 2 Power port.
The graphics used is Intel HD Graphics 6100 dual display and video monitoring that is capable of simultaneously supporting the full native resolution on the inbuilt display and up to 3840 x 2160 pixels on up to two external displays which are both at millions of colors. It has got a 720p Face Time HD camera. The ports available are an SDXC card reader, two USB 3 ports that could transfer files up to 5 Gbps, a Thunderbolt 2 port that gives an up to 20 Gbps, Mag Safe 2 power port, a 3.55mm headphone and dual mics, HDMI port, apple thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter and Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter which are sold separately.
The WLAN technology used is 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless networking, Bluetooth v4.0 wireless technology and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compatible. It comprises of a Full size backlit keyboard with 78(US) or 79 (ISO) keys that includes 12 function keys and four arrow keys with inverted T arrangement and ambient light sensor.
The Force Touch trackpad gives precise cursor control and pressure-sensing capabilities and also allows Force clicks, accelerators, pressure-sensitive drawing, and Multi-Touch gestures. The battery used is Li-Po 74.9 Whr, and the battery life gives up to 10 hrs wireless web, up to 30 days standby time and up to 12 hours iTunes movie playback. It comes with 60W Mag Safe 2 Power Adapter with the cable management system and a MagSafe two power port. It costs about $1300.
