Global Equity Fund, the pioneering Private Equity/Venture Capital Fund Manager in Nepal, has entered into a Technical Assistance Agreement with Invest for Impact Nepal (IIN) to bolster its efforts in attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for its fund.

The collaboration aims to enhance the fund’s post-investment portfolio monitoring and management processes by incorporating international best practices.

Invest for Impact Nepal, a groundbreaking initiative backed by Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and Development Partners, is focused on accelerating transformative foreign investments to drive rapid growth, job creation, and the establishment of a sustainable and equitable economy in Nepal.

The collaborative platform is jointly established by British International Investment (BII), FMO – Dutch entrepreneurial development bank (FMO), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), to complement ongoing initiatives to attract DFI investment and promote private sector growth.

The technical assistance support provided by Invest for Impact Nepal will equip Global Equity Fund with the necessary tools to effectively raise Foreign Direct Investment.

The partnership includes collaboration with Intellecap, the consulting arm of Aavishkaar Capital, India’s largest Impact Investment Fund Manager. This strategic partnership will enable Global Equity Fund to adopt international best practices in post-investment portfolio monitoring and management.

Global Equity Fund, as the first SEBON-licensed Private Equity/Venture Capital Fund Manager in Nepal, has taken significant strides in shaping the investment landscape. Presently managing the Nepal Infrastructures Investment Fund (NIIF) valued at NPR 1 Billion, the organization is actively engaged in raising the Nepal Women Growth Equity Fund (Pink Fund).

This initiative focuses on empowering Nepalese women entrepreneurs by expanding access to financial products and services, fostering capacity-building, extending networks, offering mentorship, and facilitating connections with domestic and global markets.

The partnership between Global Equity Fund and Invest for Impact Nepal represents a promising step towards unlocking the potential of foreign investments and fostering sustainable economic growth in Nepal.

By combining expertise and resources, the collaboration seeks to create a more inclusive and vibrant business environment that benefits both investors and the local economy.
