Global Smartphone Sales to Grow Over 5.5 Percent Compared to 2020

The global market suffered a lot during the Covid-19 pandemic. The smartphone industry is no exception. This industry suffered the same as other businesses. Now the business is on the action again so that their sales.

According to a report by International Data Corporation (IDC), this year the Global data shipments are expected to increase by 5.5% as compared to 2020. Growth will be 13.9% in the first quarter.

According to IDC, the increase in mobile sales is also due to the high demand for 5G phones worldwide. According to the report, 40% of smartphones sold in 2021 will be version 5G. Apple’s iconic 12-series iPhone has had a lot of sales as 5G is enabled.

The overall annual growth rate will be 3.6% by 2025. According to IDC’s prediction, the overall annual smartphone growth rate will be 3.6% from 2020 to 2025.

As now business suffered from a pandemic, so they now know what to do for potential outbreaks. Raw material supply chain supply chains and official equipment suppliers are now completely equipped for potential future outbreaks and lockdown.

The Chinese smartphone market is expected to grow by 6 percent this year and the US smartphone market by 3.5 percent. Companies in both countries are doing more on 5G mobile. Meanwhile, Apple’s iPhone 12 is also expected to increase sales due to its 5G connectivity.

IDC predicts that 5G worldwide sales will hit 40% this year. This ratio is expected to increase to 69% by 2025.
