Though India is suffering from the second wave of Covid-19, India is taking a step ahead to build its own 5G network. Indian governor has given permission for testing the 5G network.

India is currently testing a 5G mobile network. The 5G test was recently approved by the Government of India’s Department of Telecommunications and Ministry of Communications.

This permission is only given to those who have received the 5G spectrum. According to reports, Indian companies will start testing this week.

This means that Reliance Jio, Airtel, and VI will begin testing their 5G networks in India. It is unclear how long this trial period will last.

Chinese vendors will be banned from competing in the 5G network trial in India. This means that Chinese telecom equipment firms including Huawei will not be part of the 5G trial.

However, it is unknown which companies have received 5G spectrum. Earlier this year, Jio revealed plans to develop its own network using local devices, while Airtel tested 5G networks in India.

However, which bands will be made available for the 5G mobile network trial in India is unknown. And telecom firms will soon be able to carry out advertisements for customers.
