Helvetas Nepal’s 70-Year Journey: New Photobook Highlights Impact

Helvetas Nepal has proudly launched its commemorative photobook, “Towards 70 Years of Togetherness”, marking nearly seven decades of unwavering commitment to sustainable development and rural transformation in Nepal.

The historic publication was unveiled by Helvetas Nepal’s Country Directors, Dr. Prabin Manandhar and Maneesh Pradhan, during a special event held in Kathmandu.
The photobook chronicles Helvetas Nepal’s remarkable journey, from its early initiatives supporting cheese production in the 1950s to its pioneering work in trail bridges, water and sanitation, technical education, governance, and sustainable enterprises. It serves as a visual testament to the organization’s evolution and its enduring impact on Nepal’s development landscape.
The publication features a gracious foreword and best wishes from the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, Her Excellency Dr. Danielle Meuwly, Swiss Ambassador to Nepal, and Helvetas President Regula Rytz. Their messages highlight the depth of the Nepal-Switzerland cooperation and the collective efforts in fostering inclusive and sustainable development.
“This photobook is more than just a visual archive—it is evidence of the power of partnerships and the shared vision that has shaped Nepal’s development journey,” said Dr. Prabin Manandhar, Country Director of Helvetas Nepal.
