Hetauda Transport Management Revenue: Vehicle Tax and Driver’s License Fees Highlighted

The Transport Management Office in Hetauda, Makwanpur, has successfully gathered NPR 45,66,85,590 in revenue during the first nine months of the fiscal year 2081/82. This revenue has been collected from activities such as vehicle registration, renewals, and driver’s license distribution.

The office’s Chief, Pravin Shrestha, shared the details of the revenue collected in various categories. Here is a quick look at the figures:

Driver’s License Issuance: NPR 7,08,71,314

Vehicle Tax: NPR 28,27,37,299

Transport Sector Income: NPR 7,15,76,992

Federal Revenue: NPR 3,14,91,953

Miscellaneous Income: NPR 8,250

These figures highlight the diverse sources contributing to the overall revenue. The majority of the revenue came from vehicle tax, followed by fees for new and renewed driver’s licenses.

Vehicle Registrations and Licenses

In terms of vehicle registrations, the office reported significant numbers for the nine months. The breakdown includes:

Motorcycles: 2,234

Small Vehicles: 847

Tempos/E-Rickshaws: 626

Large and Medium Vehicles: 624

Tractors: 11

These figures result in a total of 4,351 newly registered vehicles in Hetauda during this period. Additionally, 5,359 driver’s licenses were issued, which include both new licenses and renewals.

Renewals and Additional Services

The office also handled a considerable number of renewals and copies of driver’s licenses. Specifically, 4,781 renewals and 76 copies of licenses were issued. In addition, 63 renewals and copies were processed in total.

Comparison with Previous Year

For context, in the previous fiscal year (2080/81), the Transport Management Office collected NPR 56,07,17,000 in total revenue. During that year, 4,399 vehicles were registered. The current year’s revenue suggests a steady flow of activity and a growing demand for vehicle registration and services in the region.

Growth in Revenue and Services

This increase in revenue for the first nine months of 2081/82 demonstrates the office’s efficiency in service delivery and revenue collection. The rise in vehicle registrations and the number of driver’s licenses issued shows that Hetauda’s transport sector is expanding.
