According to the company unaudited financial statements, positive growth has been recorded in key indicators such as paid up capital, insurance fund, and net insurance premium earned.
Paid Up Capital and Insurance Fund Growth
The paid up capital of Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has reached 2.50 billion rupees.
The company insurance fund experienced a steady increase over the course of the fiscal year. The insurance fund rose by 16.10 percent to reach 447.57 million rupees.
In the previous fiscal year, the insurance fund had stood at 385.51 million rupees.
Net Insurance Premium Earned and Claim Payments
During the last fiscal year, Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited earned net insurance premiums of 2.22 billion rupees. This represents an encouraging 9.74 percent increase compared to the 2.02 billion rupees collected in the previous year.
Meanwhile, total claim payments made by the company saw a notable rise. Total claim payments increased to 2.56 billion rupees during the period, compared to 1.90 billion rupees paid out in the previous fiscal year.
Catastrophe Reserve Fund Strengthened
Considering potential future risks and operational stability, the company strengthened its core reserves.
Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited increased its catastrophe reserve fund by 20.55 percent. The catastrophe reserve fund now stands at 99 million rupees.
Net Profit and Earnings Per Share Analysis
Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited posted a net profit of 337.89 million rupees in the last fiscal year. This reflects a 36.53 percent decline compared to the 532.30 million rupees profit recorded in the previous fiscal year.
The drop in overall net profit was primarily attributed to the higher volume of claim payments and rising operational expenses during the year.
The earnings per share EPS of the company stands at 13.51 rupees. The company net worth per share was reported at 213.94 rupees at the end of the fourth quarter.
