An exciting battle is unfolding in Nepal’s scooter market. Some well-established brands are losing market share, while others are gaining ground.

Interestingly, the younger generation of men is showing increased interest in scooters, previously considered primarily a ‘women’s tool.’

In the four-wheeled car market, electric vehicles have made significant inroads. However, in the two-wheeler segment, conventional petroleum-fueled scooters continue to dominate. Electric scooters have yet to achieve similar levels of popularity.

Out of the 70,528 scooters imported into Nepal in the last financial year (2080–81), Honda captured the largest share, followed by TVS and Yamaha.

Honda’s Seven Variants

Honda has long been a leader in Nepal’s scooter market. Despite some weakening in its market share, Honda remains the top brand, accounting for more than half of the scooters imported last year. Saker Trading Company distributes various Honda models, including Dio, Grazia, Aviator, and Activa.

  • Dio 110 BS Six: Rs. 269,900
