Hult Prize registration opened at Kathmandu University, How to win 1 million dollars?
Kathmandu University (KU) Central Campus, Dhulikhel has opened the registration form for the most prestigious international annual social Entrepreneurship Challenge Hult Prize 2020/21.
The competition is popularly known as the ‘Nobel Prize for Students’ with USD 1 Million as the winning prize. This year, the grand event is going to be led by Mr. Abinash Silwal, Campus Director, along with his dream team of 20 members. Participation can register their name on the official website of the Hult Prize at Kathmandu University (http://www.hultprizeat.com/ku-nepal). A team of 3-4 students is required to participate in the challenge. There is no registration fee and all the participants will get a certificate of participation.
The competition is open for all the students and creative minds of graduate, undergraduate, MPhil, and Ph.D. belonging from any schools and affiliated colleges of Kathmandu University. Campus Representatives all around the country have already been selected to hustle this event. The organizing team has included Thought For Food, an international next-gen innovation engine as an exclusive knowledge partner to provide mentorship to the participants.
Every year Hult Prize Foundation brings up new challenges aligned to SDGs for students across the world and the best suiting team wins the US $1miillion. For this year’s topic, they have selected “Food for Good. Transforming food into a vehicle of change “. This year the Hult Prize is asking teams around the world to build viable food enterprises that will impact the lives of 10 million people in the next decade while strengthening communities, increasing incomes, feeding the hungry, and creating jobs. Hult Prize at Kathmandu University is an “On-Campus Event” which is the Quarter Final Rounds for Global Final. The winning team from the Hult Prize Kathmandu University will be fast-tracked to compete at one of the Hult Prize Regional Finals around the world. Kathmandu University has been hosting this competition since the year 2016. The previous year (2018/19), a total of 56 teams participated from all schools of KU. Team “Dailo” from the department of BSW and Computer Engineering secured the 1st place that year and moved forward to the regional finals in one of the cities around the world. More than winning, Hult Prize KU is an open platform to network and promote your business ideas. Many among the other participants have already flourished themselves as a renowned Entrepreneur by now.
