HTC announced and released HTC One M8 smartphone on March 2014 that comes up with an Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat up-gradable to v5.0 lollipop and planned upgrade to v6.0 Marshmallow. This phone has a dimension of 146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4 mm (5.76 x 2.78 x 0.37 in) with 9.4mm thickness and weighs about 160 grams.
This phone supports GSM/ HSPA/ LTE network configurations. It uses a nano-SIM card. The display is of 16M colors and has Super LCD3 capacities touchscreen. The screen size is 5.0 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 66.7%. The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels which are precisely 441 PPI pixel density.
It supports multi touch and comes up with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with HTC Sense UI 6.0. It has got Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 810 chip-set and CPU comprises of Quad-core 2.3 GHz (US/EMEA)/ 2.5 GHz (Asia, China) Krait 400 processors. The GPU used is Adreno 330. The internal memory available is 16/32 GB, and it contains 2 GB RAM. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 128 GB.
The primary camera comprises of a Dual 4 MP, f/2.0, 27 mm, autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash while secondary comprises of 5 MP, f/2.0, 1080 p@30 fps, HDR camera. The video feature is 1080 p@60 fps, 720 p @120 fps, HDR and stereo sound recording. The microphone jack is 3.55 mm and has got stereo loudspeakers.

The messaging can be performed via the threaded view, Email and Push mail. The GPS technology is A-GPS, GLONASS. The browser is HTML 5. It comes with fast battery charging feature that charges 60% in 30 mins and contains Google Drive with 100 GB cloud storage.
The battery used is Non-removable Li-Po 2600 mAH battery that gives up to 271 h(2 G)/Up to 496(3 G) standby and talks time up to 14 h(2 G)/Up to 20 h(3 G). The colors available are Gunmetal grey, Amber Gold and Glacial silver.
