Websurfer, one of the top 10 ISPs of Nepal by subscriber volume and Huawei, a leading global ICT infrastructure provider, have entered into a partnership agreement for the ISP’s digital transformation.

With this formal agreement, the two companies have now joined hands to bring Huawei’s technological leadership into the reach of Nepali internet users. Huawei will be responsible for providing end-to-end network solutions and optical, intelligent technologies to Websurfer starting this year.

Both companies agree that this partnership will significantly improve network quality for end users by providing fresh solutions – a result of Huawei’s continuous R&D investment – to the internet service provider, and in turn, its fast-growing user base.

Huawei will assist the ISP in the development of its network infrastructure and architecture. Huawei will also provide continuous technical support and expert assistance to Websurfer. In addition to this, Huawei will conduct training programs for Websurfer staff for their own capacity building.

“This is a long-term and strategic partnership that will create win-win gains for our two companies”, says Huawei Nepal CEO, William Zhang. “We are creating a future-proof network for Websurfer and bringing Huawei’s latest consumer-end equipment to Nepal so that subscribers can have a smooth experience using Websurfer’s internet”, he added.

MD of Websurfer, Suren Chhetri is elated by this new partnership. “In our search for a partner who understands growing technologies and the needs of our users, Huawei is technology leader without a competitor providing solutions for high speed fiber internet and secured network solutions. We are excited to bring Huawei’s intelligent products and solutions to Nepal”, he said.

As a result of this partnership, Websurfer subscribers will soon be able take advantage of latest Huawei Internet products, high speed fiber internet, more reliable and stable network, seamless WiFi roaming features, and overall have a smooth user experience without any interruptions or downtime. We strongly believe Huawei will keep us ahead of growing technologies and provide the latest technological experiences to our subscribers.
