IIMS 2.0: World-Class College Opens New International Campus in Naxal, Kathmandu (In Partnership with Taylor’s University)

IIMS College has officially commenced its academic activities from its new, state-of-the-art building located at Bhagwatibahal, Naxal, Kathmandu.

Prepared according to new technology and international standards, this move marks the beginning of ‘IIMS 2.0’ a commitment to creating a world-class academic environment right here in Nepal.
Grand Inauguration by Taylor’s University Officials
The new facility was officially inaugurated on Friday by Professor Barry Winn, Vice Chancellor & President of Taylor’s University, Malaysia.
Professor Winn emphasized that the new, modern, and well-equipped building represents a significant milestone in international education. “Our collaboration has been providing quality education to Nepalese students, lifting them above geographical boundaries. This new infrastructure will further aid that,” he stated.

A Modern Campus Spanning 10.5 Ropani
With the aim of elevating the education system in Nepal, the college has constructed a building on 10.5 Ropani of land, featuring two separate blocks named Everest and Innovation.
According to Brat Singh Woswa, Academic Director of the college, the facility is designed to international standards and boasts impressive features:
Capacity: 30 classrooms capable of accommodating up to 2,000 students at once.
Labs and Facilities: State-of-the-art laboratories, meeting rooms, a private rooftop learning terrace, a café, and even a Baucotte Hotel.
Partnership with a Global Leader
Established in 2010 in Putalisadak in partnership with Taylor’s University, the college’s transition to a new building and technology signifies its evolution to ‘IIMS 2.0’. Taylor’s University is a prestigious institution, ranking 253rd in the QS World Rankings and listed among the top 1% of universities globally.
Sabindra Maharjan, CEO of IIMS College, noted that IIMS 2.0 is “not just a building, but a commitment to the future of Nepal,” with the core objective of creating a world-class educational environment within the country.
Programs Offered and Future Plans

Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS)
Bachelor of International Hospitality Management (BIHM)
Bachelor of Business (BS)
Furthermore, the college has announced that it is in the process of studying and preparing to launch an MBA program, catering to the growing demand for world-class postgraduate business education in Nepal.

The launch event highlighted a beautiful blend of global academia and local tradition, with guests welcomed by cultural music and performances in accordance with Newa culture.
