IME Group Pledges NPR 100 Million for Bhote Koshi Flood Relief and Waives Remittance Fees

IME Group has announced a NPR 100 million contribution to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support emergency search, rescue, immediate relief, and rehabilitation operations following the devastating Bhote Koshi River floods.

Group Contribution and Salary Donation
Entity Participation: The NPR 10 crore CSR contribution is mobilized across IME Group and its promoted companies, including Global IME Bank, IME Limited, IME Life Insurance, IGI Prudential Insurance, Chandragiri Hills, DishHome, IME Motors, Ashok Leyland, IME Khalti, Swift Technology, Midas Health, Maimata, Lumbini Cable Car, and the IME Foundation.
Employee Support: Staff across all IME Group companies will additionally donate one day of their salary to bolster the relief fund.
Digital and Remittance Facilitation
Free Global Transfers: IME has launched a zero fee remittance service to allow Nepalis worldwide to send contributions back home without transaction charges.
Digital Wallet Deposits: Users can transfer funds directly to the government relief fund free of charge through the Khalti by IME mobile wallet.
Direct Logistics: Additional field support and logistical aid will be deployed in coordination with the IME Foundation.
Target Areas and Condolences
Assistance Priorities: Funding will support search and recovery operations, medical treatment for the injured, food security for displaced populations, and long term infrastructure rebuilding.
Sympathy and Appreciation: IME Group extended its condolences to bereaved families while honoring the work of security forces, emergency responders, volunteers, and local authorities operating in flood hit areas.
