Nepal Embraces Digital Payments: IME Hospitality Launches SCT-UPI Service

In a significant leap towards a more digitally empowered Nepal, IME Hospitality has officially rolled out the SCT-UPI payment service across its diverse range of business units.

This groundbreaking initiative, a collaborative effort between Smart Choice Technologies (SCT), Nepal’s premier digital payment service provider, and Unified Payment Interface (UPI), marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s journey toward widespread digital adoption.

Seamless Payments at Your Favorite Spots

The newly launched SCT-UPI services are now available at IME Hospitality’s prominent hotels and restaurants nestled within the Kathmandu Valley. Patrons of Hotel Luxuria, Mio Ristorante, Coffee 8848, and Mughal Empire, among other establishments, can now enjoy the convenience of making payments via QR codes and POS machines. This integration promises a faster, simpler, and more secure transaction experience for customers.

Pilot Phase Offers Attractive Discounts

To encourage adoption and gather valuable feedback, the SCT-UPI service will initially undergo a pilot phase from July 15 to September 15, 2024 (Asar 1 to Shrawan 31, 2081). During this period, customers will be delighted to receive a 15% discount on all payments made through SCT-UPI. This incentivized trial aims to demonstrate the efficiency and benefits of the new digital payment system firsthand.
