WorldLink Communications, the largest internet service provider in Nepal, will provide all the necessary internet infrastructure for cricket in Nepal.

A mutual understanding was signed on 18th April 2023, Tuesday between WorldLink and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) regarding the provision of all necessary infrastructure related to connectivity to upgrade the level of cricket in the country.

The memorandum of understanding held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur was signed by Keshav Nepal, Chief Executive Officer of the company, on behalf of WorldLink, and Acting Secretary Durga Raj Pathak, on behalf of CAN. It is said that the period of this agreement for three years can be extended for more time by mutual agreement between both parties.

Keshav Nepal, the CEO of WorldLink, stated that” We also provide services to remote areas of the country. Moreover, Nepal is also progressing, even in sports. It is our aim to reach every corner of the country. Let us help in promoting our sports while thinking about this, “ he said.

According to the agreement, WorldLink will provide a 40 Mbps dedicated internet facility with optional optical fiber only at Mulpani and Kirtipur cricket grounds. Along with this, the company said that dedicated internet of 100 Mbps has been connected at both locations for the duration of the ongoing ACC Cricket Cup.
