Bridging the Gender Gap in ICT

Despite the growing importance of technology, women remain underrepresented in ICT fields like software development, engineering, and research. This event aims to inspire girls to pursue leadership roles in STEM careers.

Why Girls in ICT Matter

The gender gap in STEM leadership is concerning. Women in ICT often hold junior or support positions with limited opportunities for advancement. This initiative highlights the need for more female role models in technology and encourages girls to:

Embrace technology and research: In our digital world, technological skills are no longer a luxury but a necessity for personal and national development.

Develop a passion for STEM:

Women should be encouraged to pursue their interests in technology and research, not wait for societal expectations to dictate their career paths.

Take charge:

Change begins with individual action. By taking initiative and pursuing STEM fields, girls can pave the way for a brighter future for themselves and others.
Supporting Girls in STEM

Nepal emphasizes the crucial role of parents in supporting their daughters’ dreams in STEM fields.

Encouragement from a young age can empower girls to achieve success in technology and make a significant contribution to society.
