Lumbini Lions Club, a prestigious cricket franchise club participating in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has made an exciting announcement for young and aspiring cricketers.

As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing homegrown talent, the club is inviting 4 emerging cricketers to join its squad for the upcoming Nepal Premier League.
Out of the selected 4 players, 1 standout individual will be given the title of “Superstar” and will have the chance to represent the club on the field. Additionally, this player will be rewarded with a cash prize of NPR 1,00,000. The remaining 3 players will be known as “Stars” and will gain invaluable experience by participating in exclusive training sessions alongside the professional squad.
Speaking about the initiative, Lumbini Lions’ owner, Mr. Ishwar GC, said, “Through this campaign, we are striving to discover emerging cricket stars from various parts of the Lumbini Province. The selected stars from Lumbini will be allowed to participate in the Nepal Premier League, while the other 3 stars will also get the chance to learn a lot by being part of the team.”
He further added, “We are fully confident that the soil of Lumbini will achieve great success in its very first year. This initiative is designed to provide young cricket enthusiasts with a platform to hone their skills under expert guidance and be part of a professional cricket club. This opportunity allows these players to train, practice, and learn from seasoned cricketers and coaches, preparing them for future success in cricket.
Aspiring cricketers who wish to take advantage of this rare opportunity must meet specific application criteria. As part of the application process, candidates are required to register via the Talent Hunt Registration link posted on the Lumbini Lions Official Page https://forms.gle/JN4UhEvwBwRGqPUu9.
The selection process will begin with the club’s coaching panel reviewing all the submitted videos to assess the skill levels of the applicants. Based on this evaluation, a shortlist of candidates will be invited to attend an in-person trial.
From this group, 4 players will be chosen to join the team, with 1 earning the opportunity to play in the Nepal Premier League as the Superstar.
The other 3 Stars will be integrated into the team’s training regimen and will take part in all the team’s preparation sessions throughout the season.
Applications for this incredible opportunity must be submitted by Kartik 18, 2081. The names of shortlisted candidates will be announced on Kartik 20 2081, with trials scheduled.
