The new plant, operational since Monday, boasts an impressive annual production capacity of 5.1 million square meters of tiles.

The factory, located in Nawalparasi, aims to make Nepal self-sufficient in tile production by leveraging local raw materials. This move is expected to bolster the local economy, create thousands of jobs, and provide high-quality tiles at affordable prices.

The inauguration of the plant also marked the opening of a modern production center for Kiln Light Up, a crucial step in the tile manufacturing process. Ashok Kajaria, Chairman and Managing Director of Kajaria Ceramics, expressed pride in the project, highlighting the plant’s role in demonstrating the company’s commitment to innovation and quality.

Prateek Jalan, President of Kajaria Ramesh Tiles, emphasized the company’s goal to support Nepal’s economy and achieve self-reliance in tile production. He expressed satisfaction with the successful launch of the factory, stating that this expansion aligns with their commitment to delivering world-class tiles.

Financially, the project has been significantly supported by loans, with Everest Bank leading an investment of NPR 3 billion. Nabil Bank, Nepal Bank, and Prabhu Bank have also contributed to the funding. Kajaria Ramesh Tiles has secured a total loan amount of NPR 3.4 billion, covering 75% of the investment, with the remaining 25% funded through equity by the founders.

Kajaria Ramesh Tiles Limited is poised to enhance Nepal’s tile manufacturing capabilities, drive economic growth, and contribute positively to local communities.
