Karnali Province Office Celebrates Global Money Week with Insurance Awareness Programs for Students
Under the theme “Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future,” Global Money Week (GMW) 2024 has kicked off, organized by the Nepal Insurance Authority Karnali Province Office.
The initiative aims to promote financial literacy and insurance interactions among students, fostering a culture of financial responsibility.

As part of GMW, the Nepal Insurance Authority has been conducting insurance awareness programs across the country, including in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
These programs target students from remote areas, aiming to increase insurance literacy and coverage.
The Karnali Province Office is actively engaging in GMW celebrations, hosting various programs to promote insurance awareness. Recently, an insurance-related event was held at Western World School, Karnali, where over 120 students participated.
Similar programs took place at Tribhuvan Secondary School, Narayan Municipality of Dailekh District, with approximately 130 student attendees.
Padam Prasad Sodari, Head of Karnali Province, emphasized the importance of spreading insurance knowledge to teachers and students, ultimately benefiting rural communities. By empowering educators and students with insurance literacy, the aim is to disseminate this knowledge widely.
The program’s objectives include enhancing financial literacy, developing financial skills, providing insights into Nepal’s insurance system and business, and expanding insurance coverage by collaborating with educators and students.

Through these initiatives, the Karnali Province Office seeks to equip students with essential financial knowledge for their future.
The active participation and engagement witnessed during GMW events, including breakfast programs and insurance literacy sessions, highlight the success of these efforts in reaching hundreds of students and fostering a deeper understanding of insurance-related matters.
