Geotech Solutions International Partners with Addressgraph Nepal to Implement Kataho Mapping App

Geotech Solutions International Partner

Geotech Solutions International (GSI) has officially partnered with Addressgraph Nepal to integrate the innovative Kataho mapping app into all its project operations. This collaboration leverages Kataho’s cutting-edge digital addressing system to enhance project efficiency and precision. By implementing the Kataho code, GSI aims to streamline geolocation services and boost project outcomes.

What is Kataho?

Kataho is a revolutionary digital addressing system designed to address the challenges of traditional address systems, offering a cost-effective and efficient alternative. A proper address system is vital for socio-economic development as it connects people, improves emergency response, enhances business environments, facilitates better delivery services, and increases access to utilities. However, Nepal’s existing address system is either absent or poorly maintained, especially in urban areas, requiring substantial government investment to sustain.

Kataho eliminates the need for government investment by providing users with instant address codes. The system utilizes a grid-based approach, dividing a block into 400 smaller blocks with a 20×20 grid. Each grid is further divided into 20×20 grids until the second last grid is subdivided into 4×5 grid sizes. This hierarchical design creates localized codes for sections as small as 2.8m x 3.5m, ensuring every step has a precise address.

Kataho’s innovative approach allows users to generate their unique address codes and create personalized address plates. By simply opening the app and searching the grid, users can retrieve their code or locate someone else’s. The generated code can then be displayed on a plate and pasted in front of its structure, regardless of its size or type.

This app ensures that every structure, whether large or small, has an identifiable address. By reducing reliance on outdated systems, Kataho transforms how addresses are managed, making them simple, shareable, and easy to remember.
