The online payment service provider company ‘Khalti’ has come up with a facility for the taxpayers of Kathmandu Metropolitan City to pay their taxes from home.

Taxpayers will be able to easily pay the taxes of Kathmandu Metropolitan City such as land, house, rent, vehicle, means, business tax through Khalti.

Speaking further about the service, Binay Khadka, Chief Executive Officer of Khalti, said, “We are confident that it will be easier for the residents of the area to pay their taxes and service charges online at the local level. We also hope that it will be easier and safer to use the service at home during the current Covid-19 epidemic. ”

Taxpayers will be able to pay by choosing ‘Khalti’ according to the method given below:

  • Before availing of this facility, the taxpayer has to go to https://eservice.kathmandu.gov.np and fill in all the required details and register his name in the taxpayer portal.
  • Once registered, users can log in by entering their username and password.
  • Taxpayer details will be received after logging in to the taxpayer portal.
  • Tax assessment will be done by choosing the tax to pay.
  • If all the details are correct, they will be able to complete the process by selecting the pocket in the payment options.
