Kumari Bank Limited Introduces Taxpayer Incentive Feature on Kumari Smart Mobile Banking App

Kumari Bank Limited has integrated a new feature dedicated to the Inland Revenue Department Taxpayer Incentive Program into its mobile banking application Kumari Smart.
KBL Taxpayer Incentive Feature
The feature supports the Government of Nepal incentive initiative introduced in the fiscal year 2026 27 budget to encourage customers to request official PAN and VAT bills while driving digital payment adoption tax compliance and overall financial transparency.
Automatic Eligibility via Digital Merchant Payments
Kumari Bank customers can automatically enter the government incentive reward scheme by making personal transactions over 100 rupees using merchant QR codes within Nepal.
To track participation customers can access the IRD Incentive Program menu directly within the Kumari Smart application. The section enables users to review their qualified transaction counts view detailed payment logs and monitor their reward status in real time.
Daily and Fortnightly Prize Structures
Under the guidelines established by the Inland Revenue Department eligible transaction entries qualify customers for regular reward drawings:
Daily Lucky Draw: One winner selected daily receives a cash reward of 0.1 million rupees after tax deductions.
Bumper Lucky Draw: One winner selected every 15 days receives a grand bumper prize worth 1 million rupees.
Promoting Digital Payments and Tax Transparency
Kumari Bank has urged its users to prioritize merchant QR code payments request official bills and store transaction receipts securely. The bank highlighted that regular status checks inside the app will keep users informed of their entry counts for upcoming draws.
