Khalti partners with Health Insurance Board Nepal to digitize Health Insurance premium payments in Nepal

Khalti has initiated a much-awaited health insurance premium payment service enabling users to make Health Insurance Board Insurance premium payments through Khalti.

The Health Insurance Board (HIB) is a social protection program run by the Government of Nepal that enables its residents to have access to high-quality health care without incurring any financial burden.

In order to make health insurance payments more feasible, Khalti has brought this service to its users. Hence, anyone who has taken the service of the Health Insurance Board can pay their premium timely from Khalti.

Speaking about the service, Mr. Binay Khadka, Chief Executive Officer of Khalti shared:

“Essential public services like this covering more than 5 million citizens will definitely enable the public to adopt digital payment and we take this milestone as one more step towards Digital Nepal.”

Khalti has positioned itself as a young, trendy, and innovative brand in Nepal’s fintech industry.

Currently, it has 2.0 million+ users throughout the country alongside a 30K+ Agent network.

From Khalti, users can Top-Up their phone, and TV, pay their internet bills, insurance premiums, Government Revenues, Waste Management Bills, buy domestic flight tickets, and many more.
