Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited has published its unverified financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2083/84 (ending Mid-October 2026), marking a successful turnaround from previous losses.

The hydropower developer earned a net profit of NPR 36.58 million during the review period, rebounding strongly from a net loss recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year due to full-capacity electricity generation and expanded revenue.

Net Profit and Operational Revenue Turnaround

The shift back to profitability was driven by a substantial surge in power generation and electricity sales revenue across both operating projects.

• Electricity Sales Income: Surged to NPR 68.52 million, up significantly from NPR 18.22 million reported in the baseline quarter.

Capital Reserve Health and Debt Structure

While accumulated losses continue to impact reserves, the strong quarterly performance helped compress the reserve deficit.

• Reserve Deficit: Narrowed to negative NPR 85.80 million, improving from a negative NPR 164.80 million recorded in the prior year.
