Here comes news to feel proud. From last few time back Nepalese has been doing immensely great in the field of IT. Globally they have been achieving different kinds of rewards. Just recently, Kshitiz Rimal a native of Nepal has been designated as a technology expert in Google.

Rimal is an AI Developer, and Researcher mainly focused in the field of Deep Learning. Rimal has been engaged in developing projecting, conducting workshops and hands-on sessions on Deep Learning in Nepal via the not-for-profit research organization known as Artificial Intelligence for Development, of which he is Head of Research and a Co-founder.

Rimal is a veteran UI/UX designer; he has got the professional experience of 8 years in this field. His works usually concerned in developing AI systems that can have a positive impact on our community and solve existing problems in our society, in the sector such as Accessibility, Disaster relief, and Prevention, Assisting Government Technologies, all via Artificial Intelligence.   Likewise, he is also an Intel AI Ambassador for Nepal, CityAI Ambassador for Kathmandu City and Fast.ai International Fellow.

Along with Rimal 22 others from different countries has also been designated as a technology expert in Google.

The achievement of Rimal has not only made the country proud but also inspired and encouraged to the people who have been pursuing their academic and professional life in the field of technology.

Another example of achievement in the field of IT is a Nepal based team known as “Sochware.” Sochware is a team that includes IT students from Nepal. Before a few months ago Sochware “won the Imagine Cup Award in Artificial Intelligence (AI) organized by Microsoft.

Team SochWare has developed a solution “E-Agrovet” that will assist farmers in detecting plant diseases, suggest mitigation strategies connect with experts and get updated with recent agriculture findings, climatic conditions. Additionally, the team’s solution will also facilitate the farmers to alert nearby harvesters about the situation.
