Sony announced and released a brand new Sony Xperia X Performance smartphone on February 2016 at the Mobile World Conference MWC held in Barcelona. This brand new phone comes up with the latest Android OS v6.0.1 Marshmallow.
This phone supports GSM/ HPSA/ LTE network configurations. This phone has a dimension of 143.7 x 70.4 x 8.7 mm (5.66 x 2.77 x 0.34 in) having a thickness of 8.7 mm and weighs about 164.4 grams. It uses a Single SIM (Nano-SIM) or Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) SIM card technology. The body is a full metal body with a beveled screen. The display is of 16M colors and has IPS LCD capacities touchscreen.
The screen size is 5.0 inches with a bright display, and the screen-to-body ratio is 68.1%. The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels which is precisely 441 PPI pixel density. It supports multi-touch up to 10 fingers and comes up with Scratch-resistant glass and oleophobic coating protection and X-Reality Engine along with Luminous display. This phone is IP 68 certified dust and waterproof up to 30 mins and over 1.5-meter depth.
It has got Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 820 chipset, and CPU comprises of Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kr-yo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kr-yo processors. The GPU used is Adreno 530. The internal memory available is three 2GB, and it contains 3 GB RAM. It supports a micro SD card that could be expanded up to 200 GB.
The primary camera comprises of a 23 MP, f/2.0, 24 mm, phase detection autofocus, LED flash camera while the secondary is 13 MP, f/2.0, 22mm, 1/3″ sensor size, 1080 p, HDR camera. The camera has got features like 1/2.3″ sensor size, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama mode.
The video quality is 1080 p @30 fps, 720 p @120 fps and HDR. The microphone jack is 3.55 mm that comes with Hi-Res Audio. The WLAN supported are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotpots. The Bluetooth version is 4.2, apt-X, A2DP, LE. The GPS technology used is A-GPS, GLONASS (region dependent).
It supports NFC connection. The browser is HTML 5. The USB available is micro USB v2.0 and USB host. It also comes with a fingerprint, accelerates, gyro, barometer, proximity and compass sensors. The battery used is a Non-removable Li-Po 2700 mAh battery. This device is also known as Sony Xperia X Performance Dual F8132 with dual-SIM card slots.
