LG announced and released a brand new LG G 3 smartphone on June 2014 that comes up with an Android OS, v v5.0.2 (Lollipop) which are planned to upgrade up to v6.0 (Marshmallow). This phone supports GSM/HPSA/LTE network configurations. This phone has a dimension of 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm (5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 in) and weighs about 149 grams. It uses a micro SIM card.
The display is of 16 M colors and has True HD-IPS + LCD capacities touchscreen. The screen size is 5.5 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 75.3%. The screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels which are precisely 538 PPI pixel density. It supports multi-touch and comes up with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has got Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset, and CPU comprises of Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait, 400 processors. What the GPU used is Adreno 330. The internal memory available is 16 GB that contains 2 GB RAM and 32 GB, and it includes 3 GB RAM. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 128 GB(dedicated slot).
The primary camera comprises of a 13 MP, f/2.4, 29mm, phase detection/laser autofocus, OIS, dual-LED (dual tone) flash camera having the features like 1/3″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama and HDR while secondary comprises of 2.1 MP, f/2.0, 1080p@30fps .
The video quality is 2160p @30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR and stereo sound rec. The microphone jack is 3.55mm Dolby Mobile jack and has got loudspeakers. The WLAN supported are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-band, hotspot, and DLNA. The Bluetooth version is 4.0, LE, A2DP, apt-X. It supports NFC connection and an infrared port. It also has Stereo FM radio with RDS (D855 model only). The USB available is v2.0, slim port 4K and supports USB hosting. The browser is HTML5.
The GPS technology used is A-GPS, GLONASS. It also comes with an accelerometer, proximity, gyro and compass sensors. The Optional Wireless Charging (Qi-enabled) is also supported and the battery used is Non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery that gives up to 565h (2G)/ 553h (3G)standby and talks time up to 21h(3G)/ 19h(2G) while the endurance rating is 63h. The colors available are  Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet, Burgundy Red, and Blue Steel. The main disadvantages of this phone are there is no IP-certified dust or water resistance and No micro USB 3.0 port. The available models are LG G3 D855 for Europe, LG G3 D850 for AT&T, LG G3 D851 for T-Mobile and LG G3 D852 for Canada
