Local to Global: NAS-IT Expo 2025 Showcases Nepali IT Talent and Innovation

The Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) officially inaugurated the Tigg NAS-IT Expo 2025 today at Heritage Garden, Sanepa, Lalitpur, marking the launch of Nepal’s largest technology and innovation exhibition.

The two-day event, held under the theme “Connecting Businesses with Technology and Shaping Nepal’s AI Future,” features over 35 leading tech companies and brings together prominent figures from Nepal’s technology ecosystem, including industry leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators from Nepal and abroad.
The Opening Ceremony, led by Mr. Gaurav Pandey, President of NAS-IT, set an inspiring tone for two days of collaboration, learning, and exploration.
Emphasizing unity within Nepal’s IT industry, Mr. Pandey remarked, “This Expo is more than an exhibition; it’s a platform for dialogue, partnerships, and progress. Our goal is to position Nepal as a trusted global hub for digital talent, technology solutions, and innovation.” The event celebrates Nepal’s fast-evolving digital economy and the collective effort to shape the nation’s technological future.
Ms. Prarthana Saakha, CO-founder of Tigg, the Title Sponsor of the Expo, highlighted the importance of supporting Nepal’s emerging tech ecosystem.
“At Tigg, we are proud to be a part of this movement to support and celebrate local innovators, because when one company grows. The entire tech community grows, and together we can show the world Nepal is not just a user of technology, but a creator of it,” she shared.
The ceremony also featured a series of insightful sessions by distinguished speakers. The Keynote Session, titled “Digital Nepal – Building a Cashless Future Through Partnership,” was delivered by Mr. Jagdish Khadka, CEO of eSewa Pvt. Ltd., who shared his vision for advancing digital payments in Nepal.
Mr. Pritesh Upadhya, CEO of Coding Mountain USA, led the Insight Session on “Winning Clients Globally: Sales Strategy and Pitching for Success,” offering practical guidance for Nepali IT firms aiming to expand their global footprint. In the Special Talk, “Bridging Continents: Why American Firms are Building Teams in Nepal,” Mr. Navdeep Alam, CTO of Abacus Insights Inc., highlighted the growing confidence of U.S. companies in Nepal’s tech talent. Similarly, the Special Address on “Bridging Borders: Opportunities for Nepali IT Companies in Japan,” was delivered by Mr. Kubota Mitsuhiro, CEO of The iYell Co. Ltd., who emphasized the increasing collaboration potential between Nepali and Japanese tech firms.
Mr. Deepen Chapagain, Vice President of NAS-IT, closed the ceremony by emphasizing unity within Nepal’s tech ecosystem. “The Expo is a celebration of collaboration between innovators, investors, and institutions. Together, we are shaping a future where technology drives opportunity, growth, and impact.”
