LumbiniX 2026 National Hackathon: Registration Open for 48-Hour Tech Competition

Rupandehi is set to become the epicenter of tech innovation as Lumbini City College announces LumbiniX 2026, a national-level 48-hour continuous hackathon. Organised by Lumbini Elite, a tech-driven student community established at the college, the highly anticipated event will run from Shrawan 23 to 25 (August 7–9, 2026).

Operating under the unique theme “Where Spirituality Meets Innovation,” LumbiniX 2026 bridges Nepal’s rich cultural heritage with cutting-edge modern technological solutions. The event provides a platform for brilliant minds to collaborate, build impactful software or hardware prototypes, and solve real-world problems.
Eligibility and Team Structure
Who Can Apply: School-level and undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree) students from all over Nepal.
Team Configuration: Competing teams must consist of 3 to 4 members.
Selection Process & The Exclusive Lumbini Tour
Following the initial registration phase, the organizing committee will evaluate all online applications to select the Top 10 finalist teams. These elite teams will be invited directly to the Lumbini City College campus for the physical, 48-hour non-stop development phase.
As a distinct highlight, before diving into lines of code, the top 10 selected teams will be taken on an exclusive excursion to the historic birthplace of Gautama Buddha in Lumbini. This journey is designed to blend cultural immersion with creative tech inspiration.
To ensure participants can build highly competitive, industry-grade projects, the organizers are equipping the finalists with unmatched engineering and design resources:

Advanced Resource Access: Finalists will be granted premium access to Claude Pro and Canva Pro to refine their development logic, clean code structures, and visual presentations.
Industry Mentorship: Seasoned Nepalese IT professionals, software engineers, and domain experts will be present throughout the 48 hours to guide teams through technical roadblocks.
