Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has officially issued a 7-day public notice inviting sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable properties pledged as collateral by defaulting borrowers.

The notice was published by the bank’s branch offices in Taulihawa and Simara after the borrowers failed to settle their loan liabilities despite repeated notices.

Key Terms and Bidding Guidelines

• Bid Submission Deadline: Bids must be submitted within 7 days from the date of notice publication, by Ashwin 22, 2083 (Thursday) during office hours at the respective branch offices.
• Bid Opening Schedule: Sealed bids will be opened on Ashwin 23, 2083 (Friday) at 3:30 PM at the respective branch offices.
• Bid Form Acquisition: Interested bidders can purchase the official bid application form from the respective branch offices upon payment of a non-refundable fee of NPR 1,000.
• Earnest Money Deposit: Bidders must attach a bank voucher or manager’s cheque/good-for-payment cheque equivalent to 10 percent of the proposed bid amount issued in favor of Machhapuchchhre Bank.
• Payment Schedule for Successful Bidders: The winning bidder must deposit the remaining full payment within 7 days of bid acceptance. Failure to deposit the remaining amount within the specified timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the 10 percent earnest money deposit.
• Property Inspection and Status: All properties are being auctioned strictly on an “as is where is” basis. Bidders are advised to inspect the physical condition and verify property details at the respective branch offices during business hours prior to submitting bids.
• Applicable Fees and Taxes: All costs associated with ownership transfer, including land registration fees, registry charges, local taxes, and applicable government duties, must be borne entirely by the successful bidder.
• Bank Authority: Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited reserves full authority to accept, reject, or cancel any or all bids without assigning any prior reason or explanation.
