Machhapuchchhre Bank Issues 15 Day Sealed Bid Notice for Auction of Mortgaged Properties

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has issued a 15-day public notice inviting confidential sealed bids for the auction of movable and immovable properties pledged as collateral by defaulting borrowers.

The auction process was initiated after the borrowers and personal/institutional guarantors failed to settle their outstanding loan liabilities despite receiving repeated written reminders and prior public notices.
Auction Terms, Submission Venue, and Bidding Conditions
The bank has set specific submission and opening requirements for interested individual and corporate bidders.

- Submission Window: Sealed bid forms must be submitted within 15 days from the notice publication date (published on Ashwin 12, 2083 BS / September 28, 2026).
- Application Form Fee: Non-refundable fee of NPR 1,000 per application form.
- Bid Opening Schedule: Sealed bids will be opened on the 16th day (Ashwin 27, 2083 BS) at 1:00 PM at the bank’s Bardibas Branch, Mahottari, and at 3:30 PM at the Regional Office, Janakpur.
- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): Bidders must deposit 10 percent of the quoted bid amount into the designated account of Machhapuchchhre Bank as earnest money.
Bank Rights and Statutory Actions:
If no suitable bids are received, Machhapuchchhre Bank reserves the right to acquire the assets directly as Non-Banking Assets (NBA). If auction proceeds fail to cover total dues, legal action will be pursued under the Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, and Debt Recovery Act, 2058.
