NADA Auto Show 2026: ‘Made in Nepal’ Pavilion Steals the Spotlight in Kathmandu

Made in Nepal Pavilion
The ‘Made in Nepal / Made for Nepal’ pavilion has emerged as a major attraction at the ongoing 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 at Bhrikutimandip, Kathmandu.
For the first time, the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has allocated a dedicated venue section to highlight indigenous vehicle assembly, EV technology, and locally manufactured automotive components.
Showcasing Domestic Manufacturing
While international brands traditionally dominate visitor attention, this specialized pavilion features eight stalls showcasing Nepal’s advancing industrial ecosystem. Attendees can explore locally assembled electric cars, native two-wheelers, auto batteries, lubricants, helmets, and replacement parts.
Key Highlights and Local Brands
Electric Mobility: Showcasing Yatri electric scooters alongside locally assembled Meta EV and Hyundai vehicles.
Component Manufacturing: Featuring Asian Batteries and domestic lubricant, helmet, and spare part producers.

Educational Value: Offering families and students a practical look at local tech integration, industrial skills, and employment generation in Nepal.

NADA President Surendra Kumar Upreti emphasized that visiting the pavilion is about understanding the broader trajectory of Nepal’s automotive industry.
While fully manufacturing vehicles end-to-end remains an ongoing process, the expansion into assembly, battery production, and essential components marks a strategic leap toward industrial self-reliance.
