Meta Company has prepared to soon bring various paid features to its various social media platform users. Social media giant Meta is setting up a new structure in the company whose job will be to work for paid features on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The head of the branch will be Prati Rai Chaudhary, who has previously been the head of Meta’s research department.

Remember that social media platforms like Twitter and Snapchat already have paid services available. The paid version of Twitter is called Twitter Blue while Snapchat also has the Snapchat Plus feature available.

Twitter Blue and Snapchat Plus users get to use various new and special features more than ordinary users. Users have to pay $4.99 per month for Twitter’s subscription product, Twitter Blue, while Snapchat has also recently launched a subscription service. Twitter Blue users have recently been provided with an edit button.

Meta is setting up a new division called New Monetization Experiences.

This division will focus on paid features for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The Verge made the disclosure citing an internal press release of Meta Company. However, this is not the first time that the discussion of paid features has started on Facebook. Such discussions have been going on at different times before.

According to the news, Meta is going to increase its advertising business. Therefore, Meta’s head of advertising and business product division, John Hageman, said in an interview that he has no plans to offer an ad-free service only for paid users.

Most of the revenue of companies like Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook comes from digital advertising. Through the paid feature, the company will get another option to generate income without advertising, which is being used by Twitter and Snapchat.
